John, Microsoft’s Healthcare Evangelist, is a true visionary at applying technology to solving Healthcare challenges. John gained much of his hands-on experience early in his career when he was a CIO responsible for developing, deploying and managing all the Information Technology assets and personnel for a county hospital in central Ohio. Building on this foundation, he went on to architect and develop the first Preferred Provider Organization(PPO) ranking system, for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan, helped build small to mid-sized Healthcare Information Systems providers and developed Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) systems under a consortium of HMO’s in the state of Michigan. John's contributions to healthcare have global reach as demonstrated when he was involved with creating agreements for the Thailand Ministry of Health to use early forms of TeleHealth to overcome some of the challenges with distributing healthcare into hard to reach rural populations within the country.


Sanjeev Bhavnani, MD

Physician-Technologist, Principal Investigator
Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation

Sanjeev Bhavnani MD is a cardiologist and physician-scientist in healthcare innovation and practice transformation at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation. Dr. Bhavnani was a Qualcomm Wireless Health Scholar at TSRI where he was involved in the design of next generation digital medicine clinical trials. As a principle investigator on several studies, he has designed studies and patient care programs using nanosensors, wireless and smartphone-connected devices, handheld ultrasound, lab-on-a-chip technologies and cloud-based data platforms across various patient populations, and to assess the impact of new technologies on healthcare quality, costs, and outcomes. These programs have been executed across the US and Canada as well as in resource limited areas – Uganda, India, and Mexico – where he and his team have designed the first smartphone-connected mobile health clinics . To date, these clinics have enrolled 20,000+ patients. Dr. Bhavnani works with teams of clinicians, researchers, biomedical engineers, translational informatics, and biostatisticians. He serves on the innovation advisory boards of several national medical societies and has worked with digital health think tanks to develop the CONNECT legislation and 21st Century Cures Act. Dr. Bhavnani is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and clinical informatics, and has been recognized with a Health Catalyst Award as a 40-under-40 life science innovator in San Diego.


Christian Boucher

Christian Boucher is the Director of Healthcare Solutions/Strategist/Evangelist, and Brand ambassador for Citrix Systems. Serving as a subject matter expert and spokesperson to develop strategy, deliver best practices, and provide insights into industry trends that elevate awareness and differentiate Citrix in the healthcare market. With over 20 years in the information technology industry, Christian has progressed through various technical and leadership roles while developing organizational initiatives and supporting technical operations. Prior to joining Citrix, Christian demonstrated architectural expertise and strategic leadership within a large health system where he led teams to design & implement enterprise security/mobility/EHR/technical programs. Recognized as a thought leader within healthcare IT, Christian has been cited in numerous national and industry publications, presents to national audiences, and serves as a guest speaker, panelist and content contributor at events such as Gartner Symposium, Citrix Synergy/Summit, Microsoft Envision, Chime and HIMSS. It is however his focus on the human interactions, his ability to effectively communicate highly technical concepts, tie them to business requirements, and the underlying connections with operations that separate him from most in his field.


Joe Cutrell

Joe Cutrell is a Director of Strategy & Innovation in the Global Business division, with a focus on Healthcare Industry Solutions. As a strategy resource for some of AT&T’s largest customers, he provides technical direction to help them address their unique business challenges, and acts as a strategic partner to develop innovative approaches. Joe assists with infrastructure architecture while working with enterprise executives to align technology with their business priorities.

Joe brings over 30 years of experience in project engineering, system integration and business forecasting to AT&T Global Business. Prior to joining AT&T, he led the Enterprise Network Engineering team at FedEx, responsible for network architecture and design.

In 2012, Joe moved to AT&T, joining a newly created team dedicated to innovation, technical vision, and strategy. As a Director of Strategy & Innovation, he has worked with multiple Fortune-500 companies in diverse industry verticals. Now, with a focus on the healthcare industry, Joe’s experience in platform scalability, flexibility, and interoperability help large organizations satisfy their unique business requirements.

As a customer driven resource, Joe leads innovation partnership programs and assists with engineering best practices, industry trends, and business solutions. He also provides business and technical updates on AT&T’s strategic network services for customer briefings and industry groups. Further areas of focus include 5G trials, internet services, mobile sensor IoT platforms, and dynamically controlled network infrastructure.


Jeff Fisher

Jeff Fisher, a serial entrepreneur, currently heads up the Digital Health Solutions business of Intraprise Health where he is responsible for executive leadership, product management and client strategy. Mr. Fisher has created and grown multiple companies including Intraprise Solutions and the innovative, cloud-based Health Information Exchange, MobileMD which was spun out of Intraprise in 2009 and sold to Siemens Healthcare in late 2011. Mr. Fisher rejoined Intraprise in 2015 in the capacity of Strategic Advisor to propel the Intraprise Health business line. Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Mr. Fisher worked in aerospace, where he developed and deployed satellite and launch control systems for NASA, DoD, and commercial clients. Mr. Fisher also served as a Captain in the USAF as a Launch Controller for the Titan Launch System at Vandenberg AFB, California. Mr. Fisher graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and from Golden Gate University with a Master of Science in Systems Management. In 2015, he also completed his Master of Education in mathematics from Temple University.


Ross J. Lucivero

Ross J. Lucivero, a 15 year veteran of enterprise software and customer experience is currently Managing Director, Los Angeles at Verndale; a customer experience agency focused on helping marketing and technology leaders connect the dots of the customer experience. Some of Verndale’s past and present healthcare industry clients include Cardinal Health, CONMED, Foundation Medicine, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and GE Healthcare. Ross spends his days helping clients understand the complex changing landscape of the Martech ecosystem and what they need to do to optimize for today and prepare for tomorrow. Formally educated as a mechanical engineer, Ross found his way to an aerospace software company where he saw huge potential in web solutions; launching a web development company with several members of his team. This experience gave him the ability to work across a wide range of verticals with clients such as Honeywell, Stanley Black & Decker, SeaWorld, Carnival Cruise Lines, Beckman Coulter and Honda Powersports.


Alan S. Young, MD, MBA, PMP

Dr. Alan Young is a physician leader with diverse clinical, corporate and entrepreneurial accomplishments. He is the Chief Medical Officer for GYANT, an artificial intelligence healthcare company building solutions to augment patient engagement and provider efficiency. After completing a dual MD/MBA degree program at USC's Keck School of Medicine & Marshall School of Business, he obtained his medical license during his Orthopedic Surgery residency. Combining his passion for business & medicine, he served as a national healthcare subject matter expert Specialist Senior Consultant with Deloitte Consulting LLP while providing surgical physician services at Southern California Kaiser Permanente. At USC Care Medical Group he was the Director of Operations Strategy and Special Projects, leading ambulatory quality improvement initiatives and electronic health record optimization efforts to improve both patient and physician engagement. He served as Regional Director of Client Relations with Sagacious Consultants, Senior Manager with Accenture to drive business development and as the Client Service Leader for Slalom Consulting in LA. He currently practices medicine in the greater Los Angeles area and he also serves as the So Cal HIMSS CMIO Committee Chair, SoPE LA Chapter Leader, AIMed Ambassador and a ScaleLA Healthcare Committee member.
