Healthcare in 2020:
Innovations for the Future

Innovation in Healthcare happens in five-year increments. In 2009, ARRA-HITECH Act and Meaningful Use impacted the community significantly. Whether it is good or bad is a lengthy discussion, but it has created an climate which has made technology adoption possible. At the 2015 HIT Conference our leaders and innovators will lead the conversation on how the next five years will be built on the foundation laid in the last five years.

Innovation Lab

SoCal HIMSS is launching its first Innovation Lab as a part of the 2015 Annual Healthcare IT Conference. With the help of the Innovation Lab, SoCal HIMSS is encouraging Healthcare Organizations/Vendors to showcase their innovative solutions to the SoCal Healthcare IT Community.

Innovation Lab is a great opportunity to demonstrate Innovative Healthcare IT Products to over 300 attendees. Completion of this form will allow us to evaluate whether your product, application, or other solution fits with our conference objectives.

Do you want your product to be recognized by Southern California HIMSS members? Participating in the Innovation Lab is a great opportunity for organizations to exhibit, receive feedback and be rated by SoCal HIMSS members.

The Innovation Lab provides these benefits:

Exposure to Organizations

The Innovation Lab is designed to provide an exceptional opportunity for organizations to exhibit and display their innovative Products and Solutions to the Southern California HIMSS community. This is Free for Healthcare Organizations and there is a fee of $1,000 for vendors. Existing annual and HIT event sponsors have a choice to exhibit at the Innovation Lab or in the open area. There is a brief qualification process. Complete the application to describe your product that is fairly new to the market and solves a specific healthcare problem in an innovative way. Also the organization should be able to let participants experience the product in some way in the lab. The best voted product will be featured in our newsletter to all the members.

Learning and Participation for Attendees

For the attendees this will also create an opportunity to learn about newer solutions. For that wannabe CIO or Health IT Expert, this is a good forum to learn and experience hands-on in the lab.
