An Emmy-Award winning producer with over twenty years of experience, Jones is co-Founder and CEO of Health Nuts Media.
Jones has overseen numerous health literacy projects for companies and organizations such as Starlight Children’s Foundation, The American Academy of Ophthalmology, University of Texas Medical Branch, The American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, The University of Southern California, The Walt Disney Companyand many more. A graduate of Pepperdine’s MBA program, Jones is co-authorof the top-selling book Foundation Flash Cartoon Animation.
Prior to Health Nuts Media, Jones was COO of Animax Entertainment, a leading digital entertainment agency in Los Angeles, CA. Named to the 2009 list of America’s fastest-growing companies by Inc. Magazine, Animax produced award-winning television shows, virtual worlds, games and branded-entertainment for companies including The Walt Disney Company, MTV, Sesame Street, Kodak, Ty, ESPN and more. Before Animax, Jones worked for companies such as Warner Bros., Disney, Klasky-Csupo and Icebox, the pioneering internet animation company.

Sriram Bharadwaj (Sri) is Director, Information Systems, University of California, Irvine, Healthcare (UCI Health) and has over 25 years of Information Management Systems experience in multiple industries including healthcare. Sri has held many leadership positions in health plans and prior to his current work at UCI Sri consulted with Integrated Delivery Network (IDNs) around ACO, HIE and Clinical integration. Sri has expertise in Applications Development, Enterprise-wide IT Infrastructure and Operations. Sri is well known for his process knowledge delivering performance improvements in multiple industries during his long tenure with Deloitte in various parts of the Americas, Asia Pacific and EMEA region. Sri also has expertise building products for customers through his earlier involvement with SAP AG (an ERP vendor).
Sri is a CPHIMS, PMP, CISSP, Chartered Global Management Accountant (FCGMA)(U.K), Professional, Academy of Healthcare Management (PAHM), and a Six Sigma Black Belt (ASQ). Sri is past committee member for the CIO Healthcare Summits and has delivered many presentations on Healthcare regulations and compliance at various conferences. Sri currently serves as Chair, Privacy and Security Committee, National HIMSS. Sri has been on the Southern California HIMSS Board for many years and also is involved with the HIMSS Interoperability and Standards Workgroup, Patient Engagement Workgroup providing thought leadership and opinion on various matters around patient engagement, interoperability, healthcare legislation, privacy and security.
Ian Slade RN, MBA, PMP is a Healthcare Innovator & Advocate. He is passionate about finding ways to do things better, faster, and cheaper without compromising patient outcomes. From the patient bedside to the halls of Capitol Hill, he has advocated for the betterment of patients, clinicians and the industry as a whole. He is currently the Managing Partner of I&T Consulting Group LLC, a healthcare focused solutions firm located in Southern California.
Carl R. Hill
With more than 30 years of healthcare information systems and strategic finance consulting and sales experience, Carl Hill is a senior healthcare executive with expertise building businesses, project development/management and team leadership, strategic planning, business operations, managing a P&L and solutions implementation.
Carl has successfully run his own consulting firm for over fifteen years nationally specializing in strategic finance projects and IT implementation rescues. His firm also provided revenue cycle initiatives, large scale IT management and execution and strategic financial initiatives.
Subsequent to selling his firm, Mr. Hill went on to focus on healthcare sales primarily in the Western United States. He was responsible for opening the Southern California healthcare market for both Healthlink and California Services Bureau.
Mr. Hill has also served on the Board of Directors of So CA HIMSS for more than 12 years in multiple capacities including Chair of Sponsorship and the three year term of President. Carl has also served on the Board of Directors of San Diego HFMA as VP and Chair of Regional Programs for So CA HFMA. In addition, Mr. Hill has served twice as President of the Chapman University Alumni Association as well as several other not for profit organizations.
Toon Prasertsit, RN, MBA, PMP
Vice President, Programs
Toon Prasertsit is an IT Healthcare consultant. He is passionate about innovation and finding new ways to improve and manage patient outcomes. Toon has been a registered nurse for over 20 years. His career began in the public sector in the Los Angeles County healthcare system. He became a fierce patient advocate working in medical oncology, hematology, and medical-surgical services. Toon later served in multiple hospital and outpatient centers as nurse manager, clinical director, and consultant. In these roles, he developed his leadership and project management skills by leading process improvement projects and working with hospital executives and clinical leaders to successfully adapt to multiple regulatory changes.
Toon was introduced to his first healthcare IT project nearly eight years ago when he was asked to join a team to develop and install a pilot electronic medical record system. Since then, he has experienced a multitude of information technology evolution from mobile technology platforms to ICD-10 systems readiness.
Toon currently serves Southern California HIMSS as the Chair for the Clinical Informatics Committee. In his role, he has led his team in producing network events and the 6th and 7th Annual Clinical Informatics Summit. Toon enjoys his role as Clinical Informatics Chair as he is able to help his peers learn new and innovative ways to provide better patient outcomes through the use of technology.
Vice President, Advocacy
John is an experienced healthcare IT professional with 20 years' combined technical leadership, product/program management and customer interaction roles. He's had the great fortune to meet and work with countless healthcare organizations across the country through his career in healthcare technology. His broad experience includes formal roles and responsibilities for new product development and solutions consulting while rotating proverbial hats to fill gaps in operations, project management, support, and marketing. More recently John led a strategic program where he catalyzed advancement of a venerable and aging Health IT solution with new capabilities and modern software technologies while leading the commercialization efforts into the cardiovascular marketplace.
John welcomes the opportunity to work with public officials and entities to help shape and convey well-defined, technology centric programs and strategies to facilitate improved quality of life and health of individuals.
Design and detailed oriented by nature, John has extensive experience with healthcare IT standards, complete product life cycle and large-scale, critical uptime solutions. John is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison and is a certified professional in healthcare information & management systems (CPHIMS).

Teddy Shah has over two decades of experience that spans a diverse view having worked for a multi-facility health system, healthcare vendor and served several healthcare organizations as a consultant with firms like E&Y, IBM Global Services and Dell. Additionally, he has lead both Delivery, Sales and Solution teams giving him an unparalleled 360 degree perspective across the healthcare continuum.
At Optum Teddy is responsible to develop, sell and deliver value based care models to the provider market including Strategy, Population Health, ACO, Network Management, Risk & Financial Management, Consumer Engagement, Data & Analytic, Enabling Technologies and Product Management.
During his 25+ years in healthcare Teddy directed multi-disciplinary teams, managed complex programs and issues, and delivered them with the highest quality of service to the customer. Teddy has successfully assisted numerous organizations to develop strategy and deploy solutions to achieve business objectives and operational excellence across diverse disciplines.
Prior to joining Optum, Teddy led the Population Health Management (PHM) focused on developing value-based care transformational strategies and solutions for healthcare companies in the provider technology segments. Teddy has a Master’s of Science in Engineering (MS) and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) along with certifications such as PMI, CPHIMS and a Green Belt in Six Sigma (6s).

Heather is a highly motivated and passionate health informatics professional with over 9 years of experience in healthcare. She specializes in managing complex health IT projects and building relationships with cross-functional teams.
Heather works on projects that focus on the relationship between information technology, people, health, and the healthcare system and how they intersect to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes.
Currently, Heather works for UCLA Health where she manages information technology projects that focus on optimizing the Epic EHR application to support all ambulatory initiatives.
On most days you find Heather in her garden. She also enjoys traveling, taking road trips, and exploring Los Angeles.
